Are you talking about an HF antenna?

We pickup a KZ Durango 315RK 2007, it is sweet. Built a hanger onto the rear ladder that will hold a Butternut HF6V, and it works very well. Have seen them with screw driver antennas mounted there also. One fellow we met in Washington had a loop around the top edge on stands made of 12" long by 1" dia. pvc. Saw one that had a push up mast with a dipole. the mast was tied to the ladder on the rear.
Thought might have a problem with the ground at mount, but as luck of the pup would have it, it works very well..

VHF/VHF works very well also mounted on ladder.

Randy...yeap very close...has a rear side door.......its an 04 traded my 05 OUTBACK for it and very pleased so far. Wifey is happy too...You know the drill...Happy wife...happy life. Hope to run some HF afte testing...BUT plan on using HF eceie and 2/440 also.
