ARRL Field Day is every year.....
Spring 2010 arrived, and with that planning for FD..
K7DWG and I started talking setting aside the date and figure out how we would operate.
it occurred to us that we needed Gary, N7UVL as "Director of Operations" and Gary was of great help, explaining rules and operating modes.
N7C was reserved as special event call.
I started shamelessly to promote FD at Crystal Mine, and I guess every ham in the area heard about it multiple times.
Anyway, Friday before FD arrived and Dan K7DWG, Jamie KF7EGQ, andd Tory KF7EGH arrived at my QTH .

Dan's "Adventure Trailer"
Gary also stopped by (thank you for bringing that DSP speaker from Gary, K7VY).
We had dinner, and did the final planning, decided to operate as N7C 3A SV.
Semi early Saturday morning we left my QTH, got the last supplies and headed for Dog Valley.
Arrived at Crystal Mine about 10 am, and started to set up camp, first order of the day, radio table and one operating Radio.
Then we had to set up the "Adventure Trailer" and set up camp and the rest of radios antennas.
We was operating a Icom 706MKIIG, Yaesu FT-857D and a Yaesu FT-897D.

Setting up camp...
These radios was feeding the following antennas:
45M dipole, Superantenna vertical, 6m Yagi, and a 2M/70cm Elk antenna.
Then visitors started arriving, and we had some 20 visitors overall, some came for dinner, and we went trough 12# of tri-Tip and other foods.
We did not operate that many station, but we did accomplish to set up a multi radio operation powered by emergency power, and made contacts confirming an operating station.

Dan K7DWG operating N7C
Kati and Tory dropped radioing, and went crystal hunting, and scored quite a few nice crystals.

Tory KF7EGH and Kati K7KTI inspecting crystals, maybe they will build a radio?
Overall we had a great time, great company and a lot of fun, we will not win FD, but we accomplished what we wanted, we had fun.
Now we have started to discuss what we need to improve for next year.
