I received this in an email about the new CERT net.


This net was announced in May, but there were too many conflicts on the announced day. The day of the month and repeater have changed to try to accommodate as many people as possible. This net will be held on the second Thursday of each month.

Please consider participating in a new monthly CERT/Citizen Corps Training Net, which is open to all licensed Amateur Radio Operators, with operating privileges.

Kick-Off Net
Date: July 8, 2010, Thursday
Time: 8:00 - 9:00 PM
Repeater: 147.080+ PL 162.2 (Thompson Peak)

This is a multi-jurisdictional CERT/Citizen Corps Training Net sponsored by Avondale, Chandler, Daisy Mountain, Gilbert, Phoenix and Tempe. Additional jurisdictions are welcome to join.

All participating jurisdictions are within Maricopa County.

Training topics will initially be focused on CERT-related subjects.

The Net will begin with a role call for active members of CERT/Citizen Corps, who currently volunteer with one of the sponsoring jurisdictions.

Calls for CERT/CitCorps members from other jurisdictions will follow the role call and finally a call to all interested Amateur Radio Operators.

More information will be provided during the kick-off net.

No. I had a weird week last week. I intended to check in to Wednesday and this net and ended up missing both.

You were not supposed to tell anyone. Ok, I kicked back in the recliner on Wednesday night around 7:30 thinking I had 45 minutes to kill and didn't wake up until around 9:30. Thursday night I was packing for camping over the weekend and lost track of time.

They've moved to a different repeater for Thursday night.

We had some problems with the repeater we used earlier this month. A decision has be made to change repeaters..

Please join us this Thursday November 11 for the Maricopa County CERT Net. The net is held on the MARCA 443.050 repeater on South Mountain. This repeater has a plus offset with a 100 hz tone. The net is held from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. MST. This net is intended for all CERT trained ham radio operators in Maricopa County. Operators outside Maricopa County or who are not CERT trained are also invited to participate. Topics are related to CERT skills and practices. Please join us and help us all learn.

Announcement for next net.


Please join us for the Maricopa County CERT Radio Net on Thursday December 9 at 8:00 p.m. MST. This net is held on the MARCA 443.050 repeater on South Mountain. The repeater has a +5MHz offset and requires a 100 Hz tone.

All Amateur Radio operators in Maricopa County are invited. The net focuses on topic related to Community Emergency Response Teams, but the infomation is applicable to everyone involved in emergency or disaster services.
