Lower Loop of Cherry Creek - Tuesday

A couple weeks back David, Randy, and myself ran the upper section of Cherry Creek. We're going back to explore the southern section on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Meet at the Jct of 60 and 88/188 in Claypool/Globe, 8:30am, Tuesday, November 1, 2011; fueled, fed and ready to roll.
Pinal 147.200 after Gold Canyon and 147.520 simplex in Claypool/Globe.

I have been wanting to do this run for a few years now. Where Cherry meets up with the Salt is a great place to camp when rafting the upper Salt. If you are camping, keep in mined that it is Mouton Lion county. Last time I did the rafting trip we found prints of one that had visited us in the middle of the night. It walked right though the middle of the camp.

If you think of it maybe save the track to a GPS and upload it for future trips.

Have fun. Should be great time of year to do this run.

Google Maps shows this a 2 hour drive from my house to 60 & 188. I plan on leaving around 6am.

I had a great time, thanks Randy and Virgil. We will do this again on a weekend so more people can go. Randy and Virgil learned an important lesson: When you come to a fork in the road don't let David chose which way to go.
