Profile Question - ARRL Member?

We're still working towards getting 4x4 Ham listed as an official ARRL club. To do so, we have to show that 50% of membership is an ARRL member. I've added a new Yes/No field under the User Profile.

To change your setting:
1. Click "My Profile" at the top right of the page.
2. Under the "About Me" tab, you will see the "ARRL Member?".
3. Click the little pencil icon next to it and select yes or no.

Country doesn't matter, just ARRL membership. I plan to apply us for Category 2. It also states "voting members" which is our Advanced/Premium members, but I figured it didn't hurt to collect that information from the entire membership.


In category 1 and 2, at least 51% of the voting members must be Full or Associate members of the League, and at least 51% of the voting members must be licensed radio amateurs. Note that this is voting members, not necessarily total members.

I'm not a member either; just not a big "joiner", especially of large bureaucratic organizations. Not a reflection on ARRL, just on me I guess. If you need another one to tip the balance, I would join just to help you out.

I joined ARRL a couple of years ago. I think ARRL can be a useful lobbying group with all the anti-cell phone nanny laws, plus QST is a pretty decent rag.

They sent it to me in the mail when I upgraded my license. Seems license activity triggers offers...

BUT..I'd be dollars to donuts that if you call them on the phone and mention ask, they'd give it to you. It wasn't an exclusive offer...

My wife called them for my membership and they were very accommodating.
