View Full Version : AMSOIL order
Anybody need any AMSOIL products? I'm placing an order this week. I use their motor oil and gear oil in my vehicles and pay $20 per year for the preferred account which saves me around 20%. Let me know part numbers and quantities if interested.

I'm a Preferred Customer also. I buy Severe Gear lube in 5-gallon buckets! And all my oil, filters, and grease of course too.
I wish they had a Phoenix warehouse so I could do a local pickup, but shipping from Vegas is pretty cheap and fast. So far, I have $112 in my cart and Shipping is $10 and tax is $7. I figured the $20 membership is worth it as long as I place at least one $100 order per year.
I've been ordering motor oil and filters for my WK Hemi and Honda. Still running conventional motor oil in the XJ, but I did use their Severe Gear 75-140w oil in my differentials and ATF in the transmission.

What is the ZDDP (PPM) of the AmSoil for synthetic and their regular oil?

All Amsoil is synthetic. I found this link which lists their oils that are higher in ZDDP. http://www.amsoil.com/techservicesbulletin/motoroil/tsb%20mo-2007-08-08%20flat%20tappet.pdf

Thanks, looked at it and the 10W40 is sweet as well as the racing oil that has the hight PPM etc for better protection.
I'm going to crank up the engine after sitting a year (AMC-360) (build info in my sig line) and I wanted something that has some protection but I think I will prime it first & use Dyno-oil in case a seal or two are dry. Then switch to AmSoil.]
Thanks again,
Jim

P.S. I know this person (Jeepsforever) and here is a link to his site. He has some good oil as well (1900PPM ZDDP I think). He does a lot of R&D.

I have to watch my ZPPD levels also; my Land Cruiser has flat tappets.
