After getting 2m packet chat working this morning, I used that knowledge to finally get APRS working from my netbook. I have it connected to my SignaLinkUSB which connects to my Yaesu FT-897. The netbook runs AGWPE which emulates COM4 to map to my SignaLink external sound card. Then, I launched UIVIEW32 and figured out my configuration problem from a few months back when I was trying to get this working.
I'm now beaconing from the shack on K7VZ-1
Raw packets: http://aprs.fi/?c=raw&call=K7VZ-1
This should allow me to do APRS messaging from my netbook. (The main reason I wanted to get this working.) My setup I run in the XJ only has position beacon capability, so getting the messaging working was my next step.
