Last year KE7NCL and I (KF7AMY) had FD at Crystal Mine in Dog Valley.
We had quite a successfull FD, even that we was two rookies doing this.

We are planning to repeat this event this year, and this time I was able to get a "Special Event" call N7C.
N7C can mean different things, like Nevadans from 7land operating in California.
N7C also refer to Navajo Code Talkers, that was providing crucial service in the Pacific Theater during WW2.
Crystal Mine is a radio historical site, during WW2 US Army signal Corps was mining crystals for radios at the site.
Crystal Mine is also a popular destination for families in weekends, and we get to meet a lot of people, talk about radio, and demonstrate radio.

That is really cool. I hope we can work you.Be sure to post some pics of your event.
That is what I love about ham radio, 1 operator, a radio and a wire can be a special event!
Awesome!

Good Luck!
