Dead Battery?
Ever find you left your radio turned on and forgot about it, only to find your vehicle wouldn't start because of a low battery? One solution is a "Low Voltage Disconnect" on the radio power leads. Checkout the 12V Smart Switch "http://www.shop.powerplanted.com/cat...c?categoryId=3".

That's an interesting idea. According to the specs it disconnects at 10.5 volts...but if your battery is that low isn't it already too late? I don't think you'd be able to start most cars with a battery at 10.5v.
10.5 volts is 100% discharged, maybe damaging the SLA battery - this level is more suited to deep cycle batteries, designed for this service. I use the Battery Brain, which trips at 11.8 VDC. By the time you take the load off and push the button to reset, the battery has recovered enough (voltage wise) to not trip immediately, and there should be plenty of juice to start a well-tuned engine.
I use it on a couple of chassis, works well for me. They have provisions for memory power too (where you can break it out).
