Okay, here are a few of my shots. I am still editing but here's what I have so far:
CW a la carte. Everything you need to talk all over the planet.

Nightfall was no problem for the CW crew. Ham radio's original digital mode works equally well in the dark.
If all the Jeeps weren't enough of a clue, this sign made sure we knew which camp we were at:
Everything you need for a very effective phone station:

The future of amateur radio. Here's where it goes once us old farts get put out to pasture.
Hopefully there will still be trails open for these young off-roaders:

Darn.....
I am impressed .....
You guys had a great operation, and rightly, you take pride in it.
This was our second year, last year we had no clue what we was doing....
For next year, I would be happy to work with you guys and improve our operation...
One thing we have established is a very good relationship with USFS and park rangers, and we do handout info for them.
In return they stop by, even with fire trucks.
We are a NV operation, operating in CA, so we kind of fall between the chairs.....
However, a military radio historical site is a good site in my book, especially when it is visited by some 200 people over the weekend.
It is perfectly legal to be stupid....
STOP
abusing the privilege.....
I am NOT a doctor, police officer, FBI agent, ambulance tech, or Part 90 dispatcher.
I am an amateur radio operator, in what still is, at least somewhat, a quasi-technical hobby.
I am NOT a DHS employee, and I don't work for FEMA.
I am a freaking bus driver, yapping on the radio, playing with antennas and having FUN

K1NR and K1UR operated as NA1GB from this location in Stonington, CT:
We operated class 1C (mobile) from the "Green Bean", my 1963 Land Rover:
K1NR doing some CW using our Icom IC706MkIIG:
We made phone and CW contacts on every band from 160m through 6 meters. Conditions on this end were quite good and it was nice to see the higher bands open.
Best photo yet!
