Angry TSB maintenance on my 2011 JK puts it out of commission for a week.

So my Jeep dealer called to let me know that they had several TSBs for my 2011 JK. Apparently, one of the TSBs required re-flashing the (Body Control Module?). This module controls the wipers, instrument cluster, etc. Most importantly, it also holds the vehicle's odometer reading. As I understand it, the module failed to flash and is now a fancy silver brick. They have ordered a replacement from Jeep, but they expect it to take 4-5 business days because it has to be programmed by Jeep before it is sent to the dealership. Fortunately, they are paying for a rental car. Hopefully I will have it back in time for the Mingus Mt. trip next weekend. (This never would have happened to my dad's Willys pickup)

Wow. I haven't heard anything our our 2011 about the TSB's. Sounds like the tech. screwed it up though. That should normally be a pretty simple process.

yeah, I'm trying to find out exactly which TSB they were looking at. So far, I haven't found anything on the forums.

Thanks, Randy. Thankfully, I now have my buggy back in the corral. Here, verbatim, is what they said on the work order:

    Installed 68060701AD :CLUSTER: INSTRUMENT PANEL680 Qty: 1
PERFORMED RRT, REPROGRAMMED CCN, BUT FLASH FAILED
AND CRUSHED CCN, UNABLE TO RESTART FLASH, ORDERED
AND REPLACED CCN, SYSTEM IS NOW OPERATING AS DE-
    SIGNED,RRT COMPLETED.

Whew. I guess that now, unlike 30 years ago when I did it for a living, mechanics are IT guys, too!
And at least the turnaround was quicker than expected. On Saturday, they predicted I would have it back by Thursday or Friday, but it was done by Tuesday afternoon.
