    Moss Wash (05/12/12)

My wife Jessica and I spent Friday night at the Hualapai Mountain Lodge before meeting the rest of the group from Vegas at the Petro Truck Stop on I-40. The day went well, nobody broke anything major (I did manage to snap off my Ham Radio antenna on a tree and bang up one of my jerry cans), and the weather was great up on the mountain.

    Our room at the lodge.

The views from the lodge look like this.

    The Hualapai Mountains behind us.

The area around the Gold King Mansion which was built in 1929 for the nearby Gold King Mine.

I needed a small tug off this obstacle.

Others were more successful once we realized everyone needed to stay as close to the right as they could.

Darrel at the end of the trail (or beginning, whichever way you run it).

Awesome Report Preston. What a great day for wheeling. Weather was perfect and we had a great group of people. I finally found a reason to get the ARB installed in the rear of the Cherokee. That 2nd obstacle was tuff. We'll have to plan another trip there soon!

Man I'd go out there again in a heartbeat. Especially since we have some guys here who couldn't make our run but I have a prior commitment this weekend.

I like your Rubicon stance. What suspension/lift do you have in your Rubicon and are your tires 33's or 35's?
    Thanks,

Looks like a nice quiet place. Is the lodge near the trail head? I can't find the lodge on the internet. Do you have any info.
