Hi I am a new Technician class and am looking forward to go places in my 1989 full size Bronco. I have just installed my FT-8800R mobile in bronco and have a FT60-R hand held. I have only been listening on the local repeaters in Phx so far just to learn. I am studing for my General license also.

Ron,
there are several things you can do. First of all, check into our net on the 147.24, 146.92, or 146.76 repeaters, all have a 162.2 Hz PL. The net is held every Wednesday night at 8:15 PM MST. Second, join us for one of our trail runs. The next one is scheduled for 7/20/12. I hope to hear you on the air or see you on the trail!
