Hi all,
The name is Jon, I live in Washington state, I have been a ham since 2004, have been a 4x'er since I learned to drive. Professionally I am and EMT for a corporate ambulance company. I volunteer for WA Dist 5 ARES of Pierce Co. I also volunteer with Pierce Co 4x4 Search and Rescue, I act as training coordinator, and board member. In every aspect of my life I work with radio communications in some fashion, ever since my father bought me a CB since I was 7 years old. My Grandfather was a ham, (now Silent Key), WF0Q. I am a General Class op, QTH set up is a IC 2100H vhf, Yae 2800m 2m, Yae FT 857 a.b.a.m., and Kenw TS140S, with a 40 Ft tower supporting a HYgain tri-band. And a home made 40/75m dipole. My truck a 2011 Chevy Z71, with Warn XD9000I winch, Whelen Mini Edge 6 Stobe light bar. Radios Kenw TK790, FT-2800m, (brand new) FTM-350AR w/gps aprs connected to macbook running pocket packet, a bearcat CB, radio shack tri-trunk scanner. HT's I have a ft23r, 2x vx-170's, 1 vx-150, 1 ft-270, and an HX270s. My truck is equipped with all standard SAR gear as required by my unit for a 72hr deployment.
