Yes, you guys are getting good traction with the HF net. Which is something we never had good participation when we tried. And your Yahoo group is getting lots of action too. I am glad to be a part of it. Way to go!

I'll try to check in on the net tonight.

Ron, I see you're in Lexington. I graduated from UK about 18 years ago. Go Cats!

Checked in this evening. They had me rough copy at 6PM MST, but re-checked at 7:10 MST and was 57.

The net control AI4W was 55 initially and 59 on the recheck.

    I guess 40M can work at 100w.

They said that they are doing a 20M net on 14.310 at 1400Z on Saturday.

I was able to check in with only 100 watts also Martin. I didn't remember to turn on my radio until about 9:00 CST and got a good signal report then. The previous week they could barely hear me. I won't be near my HF radio on Saturday to try the 20M net this week but I would like to try another time as my OCF wire dipole resonates much better on 20M then 40M.

So what time is the net now? 9PM - 11PM EST or 01:00 - 03:00 UTC/GMT since those aren't the same and you guys have switched back to real time now. Is it still at 0100Z?

Not a real good time for me. It is right when I need to pickup kids. I haven't had much luck trying to get in I can hear but people don't seem to hear me. I'll try again when I can.
