    Default CQ WW RTTY

    Anybody else playing?

With 10 meters open, I've worked a bunch of Europe this morning. I've been meaning to make up an FSK cable for my rig. Wish I'd got around to that. Oh well...still fun with AFSK RTTY.

I have some stuff to do today so won't be able to get serious about the contest. I'll probably only get to do it for a few hours later. Hopefully 10 meters stays open until this evening and I can work a bunch of Asia too.

I'm not a big contestor, but most of my best and farthest contacts this past 12 months or so have been on 10 meters, it's a fantastic band when it's open. I have my RigBlaster hooked up and working OK but honestly have just not taken the time to work many digital modes yet. Work keeps getting in the way.

I wouldn't say I'm a big contestor either Lee. It's fun once in a while but I don't think I could spend all weekend in front of the radio and computer. I just ran through the band, went to do some stuff, then ran through the band again later. Just looking for DXCC entities I haven't worked before, I got about 30 new ones.

10 meters is much better for DX with my antenna so it's nice when it's open.

I guess work getting in the way isn't always a bad thing. At least you get paid for working. I haven't figured out a way to get paid for playing around on the radio yet.
