Hello, 4x4 Hams, I am glad to have found this terrific place and look forward to becoming a part of the community. I am currently residing in Yuma, AZ, although I plan to relocate to Phoenix in about a year. I have a Jeep Cherokee, currently not a 4x4, and have formerly had a Jeep Cherokee that was a 4x4, along with a 70's model Toyota FJ-40. Both of those vehicles were outfitted with 2M and 10M ham gear. I am currently planning to buy a 4x4, either truck or SUV, and joined here so I could learn what other hams with 4x4s are doing to aid my future purchase. I have always been interested in ham radio since I was a kid. I bought my first shortwave receiver and started to listed to the bands in 1983. I finally got licensed in 2005, a tech license, and am studying to upgrade and will take the exam soon. I mostly operate phone on 2M/70cm right now (and monitor the local repeaters), but really enjoy working PSK. I love the outdoors, particularly camping, hiking, and fishing. I have been interested in going game hunting (deer or elk) for quite some time, but have never actually gone out and done it yet. I always like meeting new friends and helping with projects, so if anyone is ever in the Yuma area, call me up and maybe we can get a coffee or something. 73, Andrew
