this weekend i want to explore some of the trails north/west of Cleator, including getting a better look at an old mining area a few of us visited quickly once before.

  • meet this Saturday at 8:30AM in the paved pullout area on Bumble Bee Road just West of the I-17 (Exit 248 for Bumble Bee / Crown King). map:
  • rated moderate since i've only been on a small portion of these trails before. if we find anything too difficult we'll just turn around and try other routes.
    - experienced drivers in a high-clearance vehicle with 4x4 low range, a mild lift, oversize A/T or M/T tires, and good armor/skids.
    - a working CB or ham radio
    - drivers and vehicles must meet all state/federal legal requirements (seatbelts, insurance, etc.)
    - bring a lunch, plenty of water, a camera, and an easy-going attitude!
    - not sure when we'll be done, probably air up by 3 or 4pm.
    - CB channel 4 or ham simplex 146.46MHz
